Back in 2002, we visited Yellowstone National Park, spending a few days there sightseeing the park. We shot a number of photos on that trip. At that time, all photos shot were on film. We have created another of these albums showing the pictures from that trip.

In 2015 we made a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. On the way to Glacier, we made a side trip back to Yellowstone. Our time there was more limited this time. We arrived in the area about mid day. After procuring a hotel room for the night in Cody, Wyoming (50 miles away) we drove to the park. We stayed until sunset and returned to Cody for the night.

The next morning we went back to the park arriving there about sunup. We did some more sightseeing and photo shooting until early afternoon at which time we left and headed on our way to our desalination town by Glacier National Park.

An album of photos from our time spent at Glacier will be coming soon soon after this album is put on line.

The camera equipment used on this trip was the Canon EOS 5D MK II SLR. Also used was a Canon PowerShot G12 camera which Sandy used.

Bison are plentiful in Yellowstone. In fact, of all of the national parks we have visited though we know bison are also present in those other parks, Yellowstone is the only one we have ever seen them. Herds of bison can be seen on the fields around the park roads and sometimes even on the roads themselves. Even in areas where the ground is unstable due to underground geothermal activity and human foot traffic is prohibited, bison just don't care. Or maybe they just know where it is safe to be.
