In 2015, Sandy and I achieved a long held dream for a visit to a destination a little different from our previous cruises. Passage through the Panama Canal.

After our passage through the Panama Canal, our next stop was Puntarenas Costa Rica where we enjoyed our first zip line adventure. There we also enjoyed a short river ride on a local river where crocodiles are very common and easy to see even up close.

This was the first time for either of us to experience a zip line ride. We enjoyed it and it won't be the last time.

Our next stop was Huatulco, Mexico which is near Santa Cruz. There we did a river rafting trip on the Copalita River.

We are heading out from this part of the park on zip lines. We will be returning here by cable car for our picku to take us on rest of our shore excurion. Our first look at the heights over the tops of the trees of the forest. This park has ten stations we will ride between on the zip lines. Sandy is hooked in for her first run. I will be shortly behind her. My ride skimming over the tops of both houses and trees below. I had the camera with me and kept shooting all through the ride.

At the first station at the end of the first line.
The braking system which stops us at the end. Very effective and we have seen the same system used at a water park zip line run at a local water park here at home. Our group together at the end of the frist run. One at a time we will ride a line to the next station. Sandy is hooked up again for the ride to the next station. A large termite nest on a tree.

The lines are secured to some very sturdy trees. Huge trees. They are quite secure. Looking up the trees which were typical of what the ends of the lines were attached to. I don't know the name of the tree variety. One of our staff members heading to another station. Another line to ride. I shoot pictures all along the way.
Another line to ride. I shoot pictures all along the way. At one point we went from one station to the next one on this suspension bridge. Sandy coming in to the station I have already arrived at. Our last zip line ride is a two person line. Two lines, side by side. One of us on one and the other on the other line.
I continued to shoot pictures through the entire ride to the end. I continued to shoot pictures through the entire ride to the end. I continued to shoot pictures through the entire ride to the end. I continued to shoot pictures through the entire ride to the end.
Though I tried to catch more shots of her as we rode side by side, I tended to swivel to the right and thus she was most of the time to my back. I did manage to catch oen shot of her. A view of one of the members of our tour group coming into the station. Our zip line run has ended. Now we will be heading back to the beginning area where we started the rides. This time by cable car. Our zip line run has ended. Now we will be heading back to the beginning area where we started the rides. This time by cable car.
