Sandy and I flew to Halifax, Nova Scotia to spend ten days driving all around the coastal areas of the province. We also visited Prince Edward Island where we also followed the coast all around the island.

We arrived in Halifax late on Saturday night and due to the time we took the hotel shuttle to our hotel. The next morning after checking out of the hotel we took the shuttle back to the airport where we picked up our rental car.

Peggy's Cove located not far southwest of Halifax features a picturesque lighthouse and the entire old fishing village scene.

The camera equipment used on this trip was the Canon 5D MKII dSLR.. Lens used was Canon 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM.. Also used was a Canon PowerShot G12 camera. Sandy used this camera for above water shooting and I used it in the Canon WP-DC34 underwater housing for kayaking and snorkeling shots.
I welcome comments and questions.

First destination, Peggy's Cove. There were a lot of other visitors to the site this morning so it was not possible to catch pictures of the lighthouse without including other people.

I posed at the base of the lighthous while Sandy took my picture. She did not know that while she was taking my picture, I was taking her picture.

Sandy taking my picture gets hers taken at the same time. The entire Peggy's Cove area presents the image of just what we expect the historic maritime village to look and feel like.
There is a lot of surface rock with many of the boulders being very large. Larger than houses. The layering of rock is the result of glacial activity across the area from many millenniums ago.
